Academic Tutors
When subject-specific tutoring is part of a support plan, students are matched with highly capable tutors from a pool of accomplished college students in the relevant field. Many tutors are enrolled in teacher preparation programs or work in their university’s official tutoring centers, bringing both expertise and practical teaching experience.
What sets this approach apart is the collaboration between the Academic Coach and tutor. The Academic Coach oversees each tutoring session to ensure alignment with course objectives and the student’s learning needs. Through regular communication with both the tutor and classroom teacher, progress is monitored and strategies are refined for maximum effectiveness.
